My love worthy for others –??
What prejudices this brings up!!!
Are they worthy of my love?
Am I so vane?
Oh! Who then is the enemy-
my love will heal?

moving on
Going to new places is important for new starts –
new places often are void of old –
old perceptions of who we are –
perceptions that keep us stuck –
Yet, almost always, the new places
are not physical –
they are in the heart – in the mind –
within us and then after time within others –
it is not a coincidence that God’s story
and our stories about us, are about
moving on . . . to new places –
where we discover we already are –

The Wanderer
The wanderer who leads and follows
where we do not wish to go
and to where we wish to discover.
Our protection being our faith in the One
who lives and dies with and for us.

My bedroom window is sidewalk level. No garden.
As I peeked through the curtain this morning–I was face to face with God– a squirrel–
we were both searching — me looking out, the squirrel looking in.

A Man and His Hunger
A man who was hungry for God went to a House of God.
There he discovered the door to the House was locked.
He knocked and no one opened the door.
He walked away saying, ‘God does not live here!
Where do I satisfy this hunger now?’
